Bo's Page
Eleanor Boadicea
In September 2003 my wife, Joanna, and I were blessed with a wonderful baby daughter. Until she is old enough to do her own webpage, I’m doing this little page for her.
We decided to call her Eleanor Boadicea because we like the names. We wanted to have an unusual middle name so that if, as our child gets older, she wants to use an unusual name she has one to hand. At the same time we did not want to go for a made up name or anything obviously silly.
Boadicea, we thought, was a good name with an interesting and dramatic story attached to it. For those of you who can't quite recall who Boadicea was, there is a picture of her below and you can find lots of info about her by doing a search on the web. We chose Eleanor as a first name again because we like it and also as it is a bit of a family name on Jo's side.
And now we have decided to call our daughter "Bo".
Bo learned to walk just in time for her First Birthday Party - a truly wonderful affair dominated by Ducks.
We held Bo’s Christening in Bottesford, where Jo & I had been married. Here is Bo just before she set off for church. She is dressed in a Christening robe that has been in Jo’s family for over 100 years.
In December 2005 Bo met Father Christmas for the first time on board a train of the Watercress Line. It was a memorable event - possibly more because of Bo’s fixation with choo-choo-trains than because of Santa.
